Glacier National Park Lodging & Accommodations

Smoky Bear Ranch is nestled in a forested area next to Glacier National Park, Montana. Located just 200 yards from the North Fork of the Flathead River, you’ll have a private access to some of the best Cutthroat Trout fishing in the area. The Apgar Mountains in Glacier Park paint a beautiful, serene backdrop. Surrounded by wilderness with all the right amenities for a memorable vacation.

It’s a peaceful location far from the trains, traffic, and crowds of West Glacier. Yet, it is a short fifteen minute drive to the West Glacier Entrance and the many activities on the west side of Glacier National Park. It is a deluxe four season lodging facility with clean, private Cabins and cozy full-service bed and breakfast rooms that include our famous home cooked breakfast.

The Cabins

When we built the cabins at Smoky Bear Ranch, we wanted them to be the type of cabin we would like to vacation in. They would need to be remote and quiet, yet comfortable. Naturally this meant plumbing and electricity were a must, not to mention cooking amenities. But most importantly, they would need to be private, we wanted our cabins to be spread apart to ensure privacy for our guests.

The Smoky Bear Lodge, built entirely of native cedar and pine, is situated on a subtle hill overlooking a pond frequented by deer, elk, bear, and moose. The Lodge has three full-service bed and breakfast rooms; Apgar Suite, Pine Room, and Cedar Room plus a Dining Room where guests can enjoy a complimentary, home-cooked breakfast, and a front porch to relax outside.
