Absolutely, the information submitted on the booking page is protected by SSL, this means your personal information, including your payment information is encrypted during transmission, moreover, sensitive information such as credit card data is never stored on our server.
Is my reservation guaranteed?
Yes, when you book online, you are using the same database as we use for all other bookings, this ensures our system cannot inadvertently process a double booking for the same dates. When you make a reservation, you are seeing an accurate representation of our available rooms and cabins, in real time, for the dates you have entered.

Do you have ample parking and is it free?
Yes, there is plenty of parking even if you arrive in a large recreational vehicle.
Are the rooms and cabins air conditioned?
Only the Apgar Suite is air conditioned. With Glacier Park’s cool nights, the other rooms and cabins are well insulated so will maintain a very comfortable temperature.
I cannot find any accommodations for the dates we are interested in, can you help?

Are package prices eligible for discounts?
Sorry, packages and extras are priced affordably therefore we are unable to offer further discounting.
What happens after I send my reservation?
Upon completing your online booking, both you and the front desk will receive an automated email with the details of your reservation, and the room(s) and/or cabin(s) you have reserved will immediately be removed from available inventory. We will also send you a follow-up email confirming your balance due upon arrival as well as instructions on how to get here. And finally, you will be signed up for our welcome newsletter to help you get the most out of your visit to Glacier Park.
How come I keep seeing a minimum night error message?
We have minimum night stays on all our lodging facilities. All the rooms in the Lodge require a minimum of a 2-night stay, the Little Bear and Little Griz cabins require a minimum of a 3-night stay, and the Grizzly Cabin requires a minimum of a 5-night stay. Sometimes we wave that minimum night stay requirement if we have less than the minimum night requirement opening between 2 other bookings. Please call 1-800-555-3806 to check availability. Glacier National Park is such a beautiful place, you really want to spend more than one day visiting it.

How far are you from Glacier Park?
We are 9 miles from the West Glacier entrance to Glacier Park or about a 15-minute drive.

Do you offer rollout beds or cots?
We do not offer rollout beds or cots. Each room and cabin has a maximum occupancy for our guest’s ultimate comfort. Please visit each room and cabin under our Accommodations tab so see what the maximum occupancy is.
Do you offer free internet?
Yes, but we advise our guests to download any bandwidth intensive files prior to arrival.
Are there phones in the rooms?

Can I get cell phone reception there?
The best cell phone reception is available through Verizon. You can get limited cell phone reception from other providers but it can be intermittent. Please call 1-800-555-3806 to find out if you will receive cell phone coverage from your provider.
How far is the closest town, and can I get the basic necessities there?
It is 10 miles to Columbia Falls where you’ll find 2 nice grocery stores with pharmacies and other basic necessities.
How far is the closest hospital?
The closest hospital is in Whitefish about a 25-minute drive or 20 miles away. We also have an Urgent Care Clinic in Whitefish open 8 am – 7 pm Monday thru Friday, 9 am – 3 pm on Saturday, and 12 pm – 3 pm on Sunday. You can receive emergency treatment at this clinic for a reasonable fee.
Are there any car rental places close by? Or near the closest airport?
The nearest airport is Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) and is 20-25-minute drive to Smoky Bear Ranch. Avis, Budget, Hertz, and National/Alamo all have in-terminal car rental counters at Glacier Park International Airport. Dollar, Enterprise, and Thrifty will deliver a rental car to the airport for you. You will receive instructions on how to pick up your vehicle from these companies when you reserve it.
The closest Amtrak station is in West Glacier, MT (WGL) and is about a 15-minute drive to Smoky Bear Ranch. Hertz will deliver a reserved rental car to the West Glacier Amtrak station. You will receive instructions on how to pick up your vehicle when you reserve it.
The West Glacier Amtrak station does not provide any baggage service. If you want to check baggage, you will want to arrive at the Whitefish, MT (WFH) Amtrak station – about a 40-minute drive to Smoky Bear Ranch. Budget, Hertz, and Dollar will deliver a reserved rental car to the Whitefish Amtrak station for you. You will receive instructions on how to pick up your vehicle from these companies when you reserve it.
Are you pet friendly?
Sorry, we do not allow pets. You might not know this but you cannot bring pets into the park either.
What time is breakfast served?
Between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, or you can request a continental breakfast that includes homemade sweet rolls and fruit packaged to go.
What is the weather like there?
Glacier’s weather is highly variable, warm days and cool nights are the norm in summer. Even when it’s in the 80s and 90s in the daytime it can cool down into the 40s at night. To learn more, please visit https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/weather.htm
What time of year is best for hiking in comfortable temperatures?
September and June would be the better months for temperatures in the 70’s. With that said, we have seen temperatures in the high 80s in both of those months and it isn’t that unusual. If hiking is a big part of your trip, we recommend September over June as June is one of our wettest months and many times the Going-To-The-Sun Road isn’t open until later in June. None of the higher elevation trails would be open in June either even if you could access the trailhead. They don’t open typically until mid to late July. Plus, all the kids are back in school in September so the Park is typically less crowded. If hiking is not high on your list activities, Glacier Park is beautiful all throughout the year, we hope to welcome you soon.
